LaunchPoint businesses recognized at City Council meeting

Mesa, AZ - LaunchPoint is Mesa's downtown business accelerator designed for entrepreneurs and small companies to grow their ideas. From providing flexible space and business development assistance to networking and training opportunities, LaunchPoint cultivates the latest innovations and technologies.

Recently, two LaunchPoint businesses won awards and they were recognized at a Mesa City Council meeting on June 5.

"Congratulations to Urbix Resources and Clean Router," Mayor John Giles said, "It is small businesses like these that can lead the way in innovation and drive our local economy. I wish them the very best of success."

Urbix Resources developed a proprietary technique for producing graphite at a lower cost while minimizing environmental impact. They earned the "Business Award" for the company with the best chance for immediate investment and commercialization in the Rocky Mountain Cleantech Open.
