Mesa Public Library offering exciting summer camps!

A variety of free summer camps pertaining to film, writing and theatre is being offered by Mesa Public Library:

Teen Film Camp - Thinkspot at Red Mountain Branch
June 11 - 21
Monday - Thursday
1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Ages 12 - 18

Teen Film Camp - THINKspot at Main Library
July 16 - July 20
Monday - Friday
1 pm. - 4:30 p.m.
Ages 12 - 17

Master the basics of film making, from brainstorming ideas, acting and script writing, to film production, editing and promotion. Ages 12 and up. Registration is required. (Registering for the Monday, June 11 class registers you for the entire camp.) We will wrap up with a film festival showcasing the films created during the camp!

Join Arizona's Young Writers Foundation for this four-session camp designed to teach and reinforce the basics of creative writing. Each week will build on the next, so please only register if you plan on attending all four sessions.

Theatre Day Camp - THINKspot at Red Mountain Branch
July 10 - 13 and July 17 - 20
1:30 pm. - 5 p.m.
Ages 12 - 18

Become an actor, writer, director, stage manager, or all the above! During Red Mountain's first theater day camp, kids age 12-18 will come up with an original idea for a play and create it from the ground up from characters to costumes and perform it at the end for family and friends. (Registering for one day registers you for the entire camp from July 10 to July 20.)

Theater Day Camp's 10 Minute Play Festival
Saturday, July 21, 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The participants of Red Mountain's first ever Theater Day Camp have written, cast, directed, and produced their own 10-minute plays. In this performance, they will present the results of all their hard work. Bring the whole family and get ready to applaud!
