A new study by WalletHub finds Mesa ranks as the 15th best big city in the United States to live in and is the 4th most affordable big city. It is the only Arizona city to rank in the top 25.

"It's an honor for our city to be named one of the best big cities to live in. It comes as no surprise to me as I've always believed Mesa is the best place to live and raise a family. I'm thrilled that Mesa can represent the State of Arizona on this list," Mayor John Giles said.

WalletHub compared the 62 largest U.S. cities, with populations of more than 300,000 each, based on more than 50 key indicators of attractiveness. The data set ranges from the quality of public schools and life expectancy to job opportunities and property taxes. In addition to being one of the most affordable cities, Mesa ranks as 12th for safety, 18th when it comes to education and health and 24th for economy.
