Register for Parks and Recreation Youth Sports winter programs

City of Mesa Winter Athletic Sports are gearing up for cooler weather in the Valley. Registration began today for Mesa residents for Youth Sports* programs and begins Oct. 8 for non-residents. Youth Sports include basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, golf and Playball, a multi-sport program that offers the perfect opportunity for kids to learn and play a variety of sports.

Customer service staff are available to assist you in the registration process at (480) 644-PLAY (7529). The Mesa Parks and Recreation "Jump In" activity guide for the fall program includes winter sports offerings at www.mesaparks.com/youthsports.

*Fee assistance is available for Mesa residents for the Youth Sports programs. To qualify, residents must send in or drop off the Fee Assistance Form, along with copies of a current Eligibility Notification Letter from Mesa Public Schools Food Service Department Free or Reduced Lunch Program. Or, they can submit a copy of unemployment verification, nutrition assistance verification, WIC Assistance verification or AHCCCS verification.

The City of Mesa also offers sports leagues for adult participants. There are recreational and competitive women's, men's, and coed leagues offered on a variety of nights. Registration for flag football and kickball teams is from Nov. 7 to Nov. 19. For information, visit www.mesaparks.com/adultsports.
