The i.d.e.a. Museum presents space-themed activities, entertainment and expert appearances during Family Day on Nov. 3. The all-day event centers around the museum's current exhibition, Far Out: Our Solar System, where visitors can learn about the wonders of the moon, planets, and space exploration.
When: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018
Where: i.d.e.a. Museum, 150 W. Pepper Place, Mesa
Featured Activities:
Create special activities, including solar prints and rocket launchers
Build a spacecraft model for outer space travel
Learn to navigate the night sky with constellation lacing
Decorate space inspired cookies with the local cookie shop, Smith-O-Lator
Experience a robot encounter through coding and programming
All activities are included with museum admission, which is $9 for ages 1 and up;
free for members. Memberships start at $55.
The Far Out: Our Solar System exhibition is sponsored by Pogo Pass; the i.d.e.a. Museum Board of Directors, Inc.; City of Mesa; Bright Health and the Arizona Commission on the Arts, which receives support from the state of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts.
