Celebrate withthe Arizona Museum of Natural History (AzMNH)as we kick-off National Chemistry Week with a "Chemistry is Out of This World!" event on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event is in collaboration with the Central Arizona local section of the American Chemical Society (CAZACS), and it is included with admission to the museum.

Enjoy an afternoon of fun exploring chemistry and its connection with space. During this family friendly event you can participate in rocket reactions and bubbling dry ice on the terrace. Try your hand at testing water, see what happens to objects in a vacuum, learn about colorful chemistry with chromatography and make your own dye. Find out how chemistry makes scents! In addition, Patrick Young from ASU will be giving a presentation about his research on the chemistry of habitable worlds.

Join us for a family fun filled chemistry celebration that has something for everyone! Regular admission rates apply.
