A long-awaited new dining opportunity is now available at Falcon Field Airport with the opening of Steak and Stone.

The steak house and BBQ establishment is open Monday-Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m. serving lunch and dinner. Meals can be enjoyed in the rustic western-themed dining room or ordered as carry-out. Catering services also are available for personal or business events as large as 500, and delivery service is planned.

Located at 2613 N. Thunderbird Circle, the restaurant is on the west side of Higley Road, on the northwest corner of Higley Road and Falcon Drive, at the eastern entrance to the Airport.

"We are excited to have another dining option at the Airport" Corinne Nystrom, Airport Director, said. "With their diverse menu and catering services, Steak and Stone will be an asset not only to pilots, passengers and businesses at Falcon Field, but also to Mesa residents and diners from across the metropolitan area who are looking for something unique."

The restaurant's name comes from its signature method of cooking quality meats at the diner's table on a hot stone, ensuring they are cooked to according to personal taste.

The menu also features "fall off the bone" St Louis-style ribs, smoked prime rib, Tri Tip and moist brisket, and build-your-own burgers. A variety of sides are offered, and meals are served with homemade honey bread and signature BBQ sauces. For those with a sweet tooth, dessert offerings include the restaurant's specialty pies in a jar.

"Steak and Stone introduces a revolutionary concept in traditional southwestern American cuisine," David Storrs, General Manager, said. "We have painstakingly assembled the sweetest and most sultry tastes from the old Southwest, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana and the Carolinas into a palette of flavors. Our recipes have been gathered over four generations and across three families with strong roots in traditional home cooking and BBQ and western foods. Our traditional comfort food is sure to satisfy any appetite. Bring the whole family and experience our down-home cooking for yourself. You'll never forget your first meal with us! We get the feeling you'll be back for more!"

Steak and Stone is now accepting reservations from 2-8 p.m. for Valentine's Day on February 14. A dinner special is offered at $99 per couple with a choice of prime rib, filet mignon or salmon filet. All meals will be served with a smoked gouda and artichoke dip appetizer, house side salad, garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, coconut-seared southwest vegetables, fresh honey bread and a choice of dessert.
