Register for Parks and Recreation spring programs

January 6, 2021 at 10:57 am

Although cooler weather prevails right now, spring will be here before you know it. Registration is underway for Mesa residents for the City's Parks and Recreation spring programs. Registration for non-Mesa residents begins Jan. 11. Spring programs include swim lessons, lifeguard training, tennis lessons, spring break camps, adaptive sports and special interest classes. Youth Sports* programs include archery, golf, lacrosse, soccer and track and field. Adult Sports programs, like softball, tennis and volleyball, offer fun social activities during evenings and weekends at Mesa's award-winning sports fields.

The goal of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities is to keep kids and adults active while following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. We are taking several safety measures for our classes including:

Limiting size of classes/programs for social distancing

Requiring masks to be worn when entering and leaving facilities

Coaches/instructors will wear masks, wash hands and sanitize equipment and high touch surfaces between classes

Temperature checks for staff and participants will be taken when entering the buildings

Limiting spectators

Increasing time between programs to ensure time to sanitize

Installing plexiglass, social distance signage and hand sanitizer stations in and around facilities

Making online and phone-in registration options available
