December 20, 2021 at 8:47 am

As 2021 comes to an end and people set new goals and resolutions for the New Year, Mesa Public Library has book recommendations to help individuals achieve a better version of themselves, without spending a cent. From financial literacy and career development content to living a more organized, sustainable and fun life, Mesa Public Library has something for everyone.

Our librarians have curated a list of popular book titles to help achieve those lofty New Year's resolutions:

Empower children to do more good: How to Make a Better World by Keilly Swift

Get money smart: The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

Find career advice: What Color is your Parachute by Richard Bolles

Get organized: The Home Edit by Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin

Live more sustainably: The Conscious Closet by Elizabeth L. Cline

Have more Fun: The Power of Fun: How to Feel Alive Again by Catherine Price

Many of these titles are also available in audio for free with a Mesa Public Library card. Library cards have no cost to Maricopa County residents and can be requested online at MesaLibrary.org. Our children's libraries are also open throughout the winter break to offer children and families a safe and fun environment to read, learn and play.
