Mesa Adaptive Sports and Recreation offers sports and recreation opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities, ages six or older, living in or outside Mesa. The typical program takes place weekly for up to 12 weeks in a season. Adaptive programs include special interest classes; outdoor recreation; social clubs; Off-Broadway productions, in partnership with Mesa Public Schools; fashion shows and adaptive sports including bocce, soccer, water aerobics and Zumba. The training schedule for adaptive sport programs is based on the competition schedules as determined by Special Olympics Arizona.
