Mesa Public Library is hosting a Teen Career Exploration Fair, designed to help teenagers look at their future career options and gain valuable insights into various industries. The event will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Red Mountain Library, 635 N Power Road.

Teens attending the career fair will have the chance to meet with representatives from various City of Mesa departments, trade schools, military branches and nonprofit organizations. They can learn about job responsibilities, qualifications, internships and volunteer opportunities, allowing them to make informed decisions about their future career choices.

"We know networking and making professional connections can be intimidating, but the Teen Career Exploration Fair is a unique opportunity for teens to help improve their chances to gain more insight into their career decision-making. It's a great way to speak with potential employers about available career paths that pay well and won't require a four degree to get started," said Polly Bonnett, Mesa Library Director.

The event is free to attend and registration is not required. Parents and educators are also encouraged to attend to support and guide their teens in their career exploration journey.

City of Mesa departments being represented are Police; Fire and Medical; Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities: Education and Work Force and Animal Control. For a full list of employers and more information, visit mesa.library.org/events.
