Grab those cameras and get ready to show off your filmmaking skills! The Move Safe Public Service Announcement Contest returns for a third year. Youth ages 12-18 are invited to create a 30-second public service announcement featuring a safety tip for walking or riding. The competition looks to encourage Mesa residents to be safe when using non-motorized modes of transportation.

Last years partners ASU Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center, Phoenix Film Festival and Mesa Film Festival are back and are joined by new partner FatCats Mesa. Prizes will be awarded to the creators of the winning PSA videos. The winning public service announcement (PSA) will be shown at CycloMesa Festival in April and on City of Mesas social media channels.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a private tour of ASUs MIX Center and feedback from an ASU professor, along with a prize package from Phoenix Film Festival and Mesa Film Festival. They will also receive a brand-new bicycle from the City of Mesa's Bicycle and Pedestrian Program. The two runners-up wont leave empty-handed either; theyll each take home a prize package from FatCats Mesa, free submission to the 2025 Arizona Student Film Festival and a gift bag from the City of Mesa's Bicycle and Pedestrian Program.

Ready to Enter? The submission deadline is Jan. 31, with judging to take place in February. Winners will be announced just in time for Arizona's Valley Bike Month in April.
