Throughout the 2024 holiday season, the Mesa Police Department will intensify efforts to keep our roads safe by participating in the Governors Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) DUI Holiday Task Force. This initiative runs through Wednesday, January 1, 2025, with DUI enforcement primarily active between 5 p.m. and 3 a.m. on key event nights.
The annual Holiday DUI Task Force unites local law enforcement agencies with a shared mission: removing alcohol and drug impaired drivers from our roadways to create safer streets across the valley. The Mesa Police Department is committed to reducing impaired driving related collisions, as well as the injuries and fatalities they cause.
This holiday season, we encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly. If you plan to drink, ensure you have a designated driver or use a rideshare service. If you witness unsafe or impaired driving, please report it immediately to your local law enforcement agency.
Together, we can make this holiday season safe and enjoyable for all. Happy Holidays from the Mesa Police Department!
