Santa Claus will be getting away from the North Pole this holiday season to visit downtown Mesa on the weekends and join in the Merry Main Street festivities. Jolly Ol Saint Nick has added Sunday to his busy schedule to take Christmas wishes and be available for free photos.
Santa will be at The Post, the City-owned community and event space located at 26 N. Macdonald, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays and 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. This is the second consecutive year he will be at The Post.
Merry Main Street offers numerous activities and events including the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, open daily through Jan. 11; free Holiday Movies at the Plaza every Friday through Jan. 3 (Elf on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.); live music at Mesas Christmas Tree on Saturdays (Stereohead on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.); Bingles, the Gnome on the Roam in downtown Mesa offering weekly clues on social media to win prizes and Jack Frosts Food Truck Forest on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Pioneer Park.
