Mesa's family-friendly spring party in the park offers free fun activities for people of all ages. Celebrate Mesa takes over Pioneer Park, 526 E. Main St., on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year's theme is Spring Fling and it includes Mesa On Wheels with the official unveiling of two new mobile units, bringing more recreation and education opportunities to the public:
Mesa Public Library's Read Runner bookmobile will expand access to library services, providing books, educational materials and library equipment, especially for those who dont have convenient access to a full-service library.
Mesa Parks and Recreations M.O.R.E. (Mesa Outdoor Recreation Experience) mobile recreation unit will travel to different City parks offering free educational programs and activities for people of all ages.
Celebrate Mesa celebrates Earth Day with a Living Green Village featuring exhibitors offering expertise about tree planting, composting, recycling and energy efficiency incentives.
There will also be food vendors, live music, a petting zoo, archery, carnival rides, City departments with information and displays and much more! Look for additional details in the coming days on the City of Mesa website.
