Arizona Celebration of Freedom Kicks Off Mesa's America 250 Events

The 16th Annual Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom on Friday, July 4 will serve as the official kickoff to Mesa's America 250 commemoration a year-long series of events honoring the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

As part of the nationwide America 250 celebrations over the next year, Mesa will host events that reflect on the nations history, honor its heroes and inspire the next generation of Americans.

"Mesa is proud to celebrate 250 years of America's independence, and the Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom is a great way to kick off our America 250 Planning Committee," said Mayor Mark Freeman. "Each year on the Fourth of July, this event brings our community together to celebrate the values that make our country strong."

The 2025 Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom will feature family activities, a Fallen Soldiers Memorial, military vehicles; live music, patriotic displays and programs that pay tribute to our nations independence. A full schedule of activities is available at azcelebrationoffreedom.com.

Mesa's America 250 events will culminate in the Arizona Celebration of Freedom on July 4, 2026. Details on America 250 programs will be posted on the Citys website when they are finalized.
