City of Mesa News
Parents looking for fun and reliable ways to keep kids active this winter will find sports programs for all ages and skill levels in the City of Mesa. Registration is now open for Mesa residents for the Parks and Recreation 2024-2025 winter season, offering trusted City-run programs that bring children and families together.
Popular youth programs include Suns Co-Ed Basketball League, Co-Ed Kinder Clinic, Cheer Clinic and Playball Multi-Sport, designed to help children build skills, make friends, and stay active in a supportive, community-centered environment.
Mesa Parks and Recreation also offers specialty classes such as beginner's ice skating, Lim Karate and Yoga Stars, as well as hobbies like LEGO Robotics. Additionally, teens can benefit from recreation activities that include Helping Youth Produce Excellence (H.Y.P.E.), a teen leadership initiative that builds skills through workshops, service projects and mentoring with City of Mesa staff.
There are also activities and programs for adults who can join leagues for women's volleyball, men's softball and the award-winning Recess for Adults program. There are also junior tennis camps, adult tennis clinics and leagues and Drop-In Pickleball for ages 18 and older.
A full list of programs and activities is available in the winter PLAYBOOK Magazine.
All of these popular activities are the perfect way to keep families active while having fun. Non-residents can begin registering on Monday, Oct. 13 at 8 a.m.
