City of Mesa News

The City of Mesa is kicking off the holiday season with the return of Reindeer Roll and Stroll, a free, self-guided scavenger hunt happening Friday, Dec. 5, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Plaza at Mesa City Center, 56 E. Main St.
Families and friends can roll, stroll and explore the holiday magic of Downtown Mesa's Merry Main Street, by starting at the registration table near the Winter Wonderland ice-skating rink.
The Reindeer Roll and Stroll is part of the MesaMoves Look Twice Challenge, a roadway safety campaign that reminds everyone to slow down, look twice and watch out for one another, whether walking, rolling or driving. Participants can earn points toward prizes by completing Look Twice activities that encourage safe, active ways to get around the community.
At the Reindeer Roll and Stroll participants will receive a scavenger hunt list with 11 festive challenges, such as stopping by the Winter Wonderland ice rink, finding our strolling carolers and visiting the road safety booth. Complete at least eight activities to qualify for prizes.
Take a photo of each completed task with at least one group member in the picture. Turn in your finished pamphlet and photos to a City of Mesa staff member by 8 p.m. on event day or email them to mesamoves@mesaaz.gov by Dec. 6.
Registration is free and available through the Look Twice Challenge page or the Reindeer Roll and Stroll Eventbrite page. Winners will be notified by mid-December.
Qualified participants will be entered into drawings for:
•Grand Prize: Bicycle ($400 value), two tickets to National Geographic Live: Life on the Move at Mesa Arts Center, customized street sign, $100 Downtown Mesa gift card, and a swag bag ($50 value)
•Adventure Pack Prize (3): Family four-pack admission to the Arizona Museum of Natural History, $50 Downtown Mesa gift card, and a swag bag ($50 value)
