Dive Into Summer: Registration Underway for Mesa Parks and Recreation Programs

Mesa residents can now register for a wide range of summer camps and recreation programs. Non- resident registration begins Monday, April 13 at 8 a.m.

From youth camps to adult sports and family-friendly activities, Mesa offers opportunities for all ages to stay active, learn new skills and connect with the community throughout the summer months.

•Adult sports: Tennis, pickleball at six City parks, volleyball, softball and Recess for Adults, which offers a new sport or game each week

•Youth activities: Tennis, summer sports and youth camps including Olympic Sports Camp, judo, indoor playball multi-sport, gymnastics and ice skating

•Teen activities: Pickleball, tennis camps and tournaments, Super Smash Bros.- eSports Tournament, leadership training, resume workshops and STEM activities

•Adaptive recreation: Summer camps, pickleball, recreational bowling, stand-up paddleboard, Foam Fiesta and Adaptive TGIF for individuals with developmental disabilities ages six and up

Mesa Aquatics will offer private swim lessons, group classes, aquatic sports teams, Dive-In Movies and more. Additional specialty programs include classical dance, belly dancing, hip hop/tumbling, babysitting and child safety courses, Pokmon-themed art and a Zombies musical minicamp.

Mesa Parks and Recreation is also expanding access through free, mobile recreation programs.

M.O.R.E. (Mesa Outdoor Recreation Experience): Traveling to parks, trails and natural spaces Tuesdays through Saturdays with outdoor and nature-based activities.

Fun 'N Fitness: Hosted at Pioneer Park and Kleinman Park, offering sports, games, crafts and STEAM activities to encourage residents of all ages to stay active.

There are four ways to register for summer programs and activities:

Online using the ACTIVENET Registration System

•Email a completed registration form to ParksRecInfo@MesaAZ.gov

•By phone at 480-644-PLAY (7529)

•In-person at the Mesa Parks and Recreation office at 708 W. Baseline Road. Office hours are Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registration forms are available in English and Spanish. Some Mesa residents may qualify for the MRS Discount, which provides 50% off youth and adaptive programs.

Summer pool season begins in Mesa on May 23. Discounted pool passes are available now and provide unlimited visits to all City of Mesa pools. Household passes (four members) are available for $150. Households with more than four people can add an additional member for $25. Individual passes are available for $45.

Discounted prices are available through May 23. Beginning May 24, prices increase to $225 for household passes, $30 for each additional member and $56 for individual passes.

Pool passes may be purchased online or in person at the Mesa Parks and Recreation Office, 708 W. Baseline Road, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
