Mesa Police Cinco De Mayo Task Force

The Mesa Police Department will conduct DUI enforcement operations on May 5th, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to keep roadways safe during Cinco de Mayo celebrations and in support of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety. Enforcement associated with the Cinco de Mayo DUI Task Force will be concentrated during peak hours from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m.

The Cinco de Mayo DUI Task Force is a local enforcement activity held annually. The mission is to remove impaired drivers off the roadway and create safer streets throughout the valley. Also, to decrease the number of vehicle collisions related to impaired driving.

The Mesa Police Department encourages everyone to enjoy the holiday weekend responsibly and designate a sober driver. Please report reckless, unsafe, or suspected DUI driving to your local law enforcement. Mesa Police Department non-emergency line 480-644-2211.
